Usually, this time of year I do a little reflection of the past year to see how I ended up ... here. All I can say, it's been one heck of a roller coaster ride. January will mark "one year" that my first novel was released. I never once in my younger life would've said, "I'm going to write a book". But things change. I have found a new passion that burns through my very core. If I'm not writing ... I'm thinking about writing. Characters, stories, twisted plots all of it; I can't get it out of my mind unless I'm pouring it over paper. I know that I have many challenges ahead, but I will attack them head on as they come at me. I have been leaving a trail of my writing experience, and since I've been in such a reflecting mood, I thought I would just throw in how my year up to this point has done. I am hoping this number will double next year, but I guess for a new author with no established name ... I can't complain. So, if my numbers are correct, my totals to date in book downloads and paperback sells is 1,587 books. Some days I get disheartened, but looking at that number gives me hope. That averages about 132 books a month. Next month starts a new year. I am going to work on getting out of my shell and get my name out there. I have a few strategies I'm working on and when I start working on them, I will let you in. For now, I'm going to enjoy the holidays, my family and my friends. But don't worry the stories are always being built. I intend three of them to be revealed in the next year. If you need gift ideas ... Never Again and What Brings Tomorrow are great winter curl up reads. Just visit my books page to order. Merry Christmas
